Cars running with Air compressed. Jules Verne dream coming true again.

In these times where all environmental sector organizations tend to cleaner technologies that truly help curb global warming, the invention of the compressed air car to become a valid alternative for the protection of our environment.

The inventor of this model is the physical and mathematical Armando Regusci Uruguay, a country that made the first tests, driven by compressed air technology.

The car may have one or more tanks where the air is deposited, the very air we breathe every day, of course, it requires for its implementation of its respective compressor.

Regusci engine is a free piston and a freewheel (the amount and size of these may vary depending on the engine). One of the many types of engine cylinder has a large length to its diameter, a piston connected to an axis such that by injecting a gas under pressure, it pushes the piston that is attached to a chain, by spinning a wheel free.

Its economy
Obvious, in connection with any type of fuel, for example, Uruguay spends over $ 2 million per day to import oil that does not need and can move all your vehicles using energy such as hydropower that is widely used in this country . Even experts warn the possibility of accumulating excess energy of dams in tanks for reuse in dry seasons.

RENEWABLE ENERGY
The Uruguayans say they are preparing so well, because in the next 30 years, oil reserves will end, because it would make it very difficult for those who still have fuel vehicles.

ZERO POLLUTION
Right now on the planet hundreds of people die daily because of environmental pollution from the exhaust pipes of conventional vehicles. In contrast with this automobile air is helping to ensure the balance of the atmosphere, since its engine compresses and decompresses, this being a physical transformation that does not affect the environment.

MARKET YOUR BUSINESS
The cost of construction of these vehicles is much lower than the current ones, since it requires no gearbox, clutch and differential carburetor.

COMFORT
The use of air as primary energy can lower the cost of certain elements of safety and comfort are indispensable today. The air also moves the glass enclosures and contribute, and the wipers and horn be supplied in the same way. The tire pressure can be constantly balanced. Also the braking system and suspension are usually obviously fed by this renewable energy. As the air cools to unzip these vehicles shall, in addition, a fast and free cooling.

EFFICIENCY AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT
This new vehicle is projected to top speeds of 120 km / h taking only accelerator and brake and the same performance, even better than fuel vehicles. Also the air is not flammable so they are safer than in cars.

You can also adapt the common file to this new technology, take out the engine, gearbox, clutch, differential and rear axle motor installed Regusci (free piston and freewheel). This as a way to recycle the huge amount of cars that currently exist.

Other Models:

AIRPOD

This car is another solution to avoid polluting the environment and not to spend on gas, the Air Pod an "order-to-air". Literally is a car air and compressed air thanks to this small vehicle designed by Zero Pollution Motors can ride a reasonable speed.

The car can be wound at 35 miles per hour and travel a distance of 60 miles without recharging, sufficient distance for 80% of the population carrying out normal tasks like going to work, come back and do other chores.

The inventor of the AirPod is Nelson Gonzalez Acosta, a native of the Dominican Republic.

How does the compressed air inside the vehicle?

The system aims to produce electricity at low cost and non-polluting.

The process for producing electrical energy is based on the installation of a ramp with an angle of about 45 degrees down to the passage of vehicles.

With this downward movement activates a system of plates resulting compressed air and blows it into a collector tank.

This compressed air is led to the tank through a pipe system. Once the air is stored, injected into a pneumatic turbine that moves a leash attached to a generator, which is responsible for producing and distributing electricity to the grid.

Advantages of compressed air:

The cost of compressing air to be used as a propulsion system of the vehicle is lower than the energy cost of a combustion engine.

The air is plentiful, inexpensive, portable, storable and, especially, non-polluting.

The compressed air technology reduces the cost of vehicle production by 20%, because there is no need to build a refrigeration system, the fuel tank, plugs or silencers.

The air, in itself, is not flammable.

The mechanical design of the engine is simple and robust.

It does not suffer the effects of corrosion in hot battery.

Has a lower manufacturing cost and maintenance.

The compressed air tanks can be discarded or recycled with less pollution than batteries.

The compressed air cylinders have a longer life than the batteries since these have problems associated with degradation as the number of loads increases.

The tank can be filled more often and in less time than it can recharge the batteries.

Know that the compressed air is used in engines that a pretty old back to the late nineteenth century, but thanks to new technology that every year throughout history have appeared, they have been able to improve techniques application. In the official website you can see Aircar a review history of compressed air.

MDI compressed air cars:

You can see sevearl models od air compressed cars on MDI from Luxemburgo.
Watch the video below of one its models.

MDI's air engine technology tested on Tata Motors vehicles from India.
In January 2007, Tata Motors and Motor Development International (Luxembourg) signed a licence agreement that enables Tata Motors to produce and sell compressed air cars using MDI technology in India. The agreement covered two phases of activity encompassing the technology transfer and proof of the technical concept in the first phase, and in the second phase completing detailed development of the compressed air engine into specific vehicle and stationary applications.

The first phase of this programme - proof of the technical concept in Tata Motors vehicles - has now been successfully completed with the compressed air engine concept having been demonstrated in two Tata Motors vehicles.

In the second phase of the development, the two companies are working together to complete detailed development of the technology and required technical processes to industrialise a market ready product application over the coming years.
