Parker by Streetline makes finding and paying for parking easy. With the app, consumers can quickly view available parking options based on pricing, location, and/or real-time availability. When driving, the app is hands free for easy operation; it features voice guidance to provide an audible cue when available parking is nearby, and drivers may also place their smartphones on a car dashmount just as they would with a GPS system. 

Real-time availability is provided via the company's patented smart parking platform that detects the presence of a car through a network of ultra-low power wireless sensors, as well as other sensing devices.

Telefonica and Streetline announced in last November that they will be jointly marketing and selling telematics-enabled smart parking services that allow cities to optimize parking management, while delivering higher quality of life to their citizens by reducing car traffic. Streetline will provide smart parking services, applications, and technical support, while Telefonica will contribute with its m2m platforms, financial services, commercial network, including pre- and post-sales support, and customer care. Everything will be deployed over the best in class global networks of Telefonica.

The Global Mobile Awards, which recognize excellence and innovation within the mobile communications industry, were presented today at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. To select the winners for the 2013 awards, more than 160 independent analysts, journalists, academics and subject matter experts throughout the world participated in the judging process.

The Ascend P2 features a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and LTE Cat 4 providing an

ultrafast web experience with download speeds of up to 150 Mbps. Continuing the

fashion legacy of the Ascend P-series, it is only 8.4mm slim with an infinity edge 4.7-inch

IPS HD in-cell touch display with second-generation Corning® Gorilla® Glass, and will be

available in black and white.

Samsung will unveil at the International Solid-State Circuit Conference, February 7-21, 2013 ISSCC, a 28-nm SoC with two quad-core clusters. One cluster runs at 1. 8 GHz, has a 2 MByte L2 cache and is geared for high performance apps; the other runs at 1.2 GHz and is tuned for energy efficiency. 

The chip clearly parallel’s ARM’s description of a big.little architecture using its 32-bit A15 and A7 cores. In October, ARM said the approach is delivering greater than expected benefits and expects it will become widely used in smartphones.

“We expect the Samsung part is the first big.little processor,” said Kevin Krewell, senior analyst with market watcher Linley Group (Mountain View, Calif.). “The A7 cores should be capable of handling most smartphone tasks, with the A15 cores only required for maximum performance needs, like video games,” he said. 

Samsung may pack the two quad-core processor into the Galaxy S4 expected for the MWC 2013 in Barcelona, 25-28 February 2013. Rumours also indicated the device will have a 13 mpxls camera.
